I joined a chan brothers tour to korea last june. i can say that i am utterly disappointed with what chan brothers offered me in the end. This was how it went:

1)The food was below adequate. Never be fooled by the variety of Korean food they displayed on their tour packages as they came out to be always steamboats. Even the korean bbq they offered on the package turned out to be steamboat.

2)The tour leader, xiao yan zi, was inexperienced (though i admit she was charismatic) as there were instances when her instructions were not brought across clearly and concisely, leading to my family losing our luggage at Incheon International Airport (which was eventually recovered).

Thus, please take my comments into consideration before joining this tour agency. I know that they are established but i am just providing my two cents worth.

i was very disappointed with c.brothers as well during natas fair 2005 when i booked for my cny 2006 trip to korea..i booked departure was on cny eve, cuz the tour fare was much cheaper, thinking the group can be finalised(even the tour personnel say most likely no problem!!)..that was in sept cuz during natas, but when dec comes, they called me saying not enuff people and ask me to change to day 1 of cny..and of cuz i had to top up the difference...so disappointed because the reason is very very lame, obviously maybe they are a wellknown agency cannot be group not able to finalise due to not enuff tour members, i believe its maybe because of very low profits... bad.gif then recommended me japan etc..in e end asked for a refund back...

Oh yeah....travel fairs do not necessary guarantee you the best deals. Booking early will assure you of that. It is disgusting to see that most people i saw.....always enquire about free gifts whenever I do my booking at the travel agency. C'mon man.....are travel agencies a luggage departmental store or electronic store? These gifts are exclusively for travel fairs and subject to availability. If dun have dun have la.....why complain over it when all the luggages you had collected over the years were to end up in your storeroom and collect dust anyways???

Bugging and bugging for discounts is another disgusting behaviour. You think this is a fish market?? When you want to travel, just pay....I am by no means a rich traveller. I make sure I saved enough to go for my trips. It helps that my passion is travelling and thats why I get to go around the globe on my meagre salary. There's a certain valuation of each destination you wish to travel to. So....do you think that with $2000, you can cover Europe?? Do you also think that you can cover USA with $3000? Can....budget accommodations lor....other airlines lor other than Singapore Airlines. Who to blame but yourself if you dun enjoy your holiday be it because of price/tour guide/tour pace/hotels/airlines.

Chinese saying......"Yi Fen Qian, Yi Fen Huo" One price....one product/service. There is no guarantee whatsoever too if you had one good travel experience with a particular agency. You may encounter a bad experience with the same agency the next time round. So all in all.....it is how you look at things....your attitude, your upbringing....your intellect.
