Iternary

Day 1:

Auckland - Coromandel - Whitianga (D)

Drive south through Auckland and skirt the Firth of Thames to the Miranda Seabird Centre. Travel on to Thames to visit the Watergardens and then ride the exciting Driving Creek narrow gauge railway. Walk to a Kauri tree before crossing over the hills to Whitianga.

Hotel: Aotearoa Lodge

Day 2:

Coromandel Peninsula (B/D)

Today sequence of activities will depend upon the tides, and will include visits to Otama, Matarangi and Opito Bay. Have a chance to soak in a hot pool at HOT WATER BEACH, see Cathedral Cove and the marine reserve from their lookouts.

Day 3:

Coromandel - Rotorua (B/D)

A morning drive via Paeroa and Matamata, then across the Mamaku Hills to reach fiery Rotorua in time to join the afternoon tour to a thermal valley, trout spring and a sheep show. In the evening we have included a fascinating Maori Hangi & Concert.

Day 4:

Rotorua - Waitomo - Auckland (B)

Travel by coach via Waitomo and Hamilton to Auckland. The caves tour and glowworm grotto are included.
