Iternary

Day 1:

Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua

Travel by coach via Hamilton to Waitomo. The Caves Tour and glowworm grotto are included. After, you will travel to Rotorua.

Hotel: Lake Plaza or similar

Day 2:

Rotorua

Your half-day tour included - you will see roaring geysers, boiling mud pools at the thermal area, tame trout at the springs and performing sheep and dogs at the Agrodome.

Day 3:

Rotorua - Wellington

Drive South to Wairakei permanent mantle of stream, then to Lake Taupo. The ominous peaks of Tongariro, Ngaruahoe and Ruapahu watch over our drive to Waioru. Then down to the fertile Manawatu Plains, coastal horticultural frams and rocky seascapes to Wellington, where you arrive at about 4.15pm

Hotel: Bay Plaza Hotel or similar

Day 4:

Wellington - Christchurch

Catch a ferry across Cook Strait and cruise down the tranquil Marlborough Sounds to Picton. Enjoy the sun decks, bars, café and lounges during the cruise. Leave Picton and Blenheim to ride on the TranzCoastal train edging down a narrow coastal strip where the surf pounds the sheer Kaikoura Ranges. Cross into the North Canterbury sheep Country.

Arrive in Christchurch about 7pm.
