We booked the Eastern Europe package with Christmas Winter Markets, total 4 persons. The first good impression of the tour agent soon turned from bad to worst. At the time we paid the initial deposite, the agent (with a string of awards)firmly confirmed that our all tour particulars/vouchers/e-tickets etc would be handed to us "exactly one month before departure date". When we called on the due date, we were told that it would only be available two weeks later, and the excuses continued, until almost one week left, we could take it no more and I told the agent that perhaps I should go down with my lawyer, then we got the tour particulars. We requested assistance for an extension of the tour, initially the agent volunteered to help in the arrangement of the hotel/train ticket, but every time we called to check, we were told that the agent had led a tour somewhere, in short - not available in Singapore. We ended up arranging our own hotel booking, train ticket booking etc. The lesson I learned from this tour - go on free & easy, and do all your own online booking, which is easy and absolutely no agent required.
