My friend & I had booked a tour to Hong Kong thru Farmosa at NATA Fair.
My friend & I wanted to relate our bad experience to let you be aware of the bad service we've experience.
She'd cancelled her flight due to unforeseen circumstances as she was diagnose with chicken pox before her trip and had proved doctor's letter to Farmosa. They'd charge her $150 (ticket cancellation), $75 (land cancellation)& on top of that a $50 administration charge. When she tried to call them ample times and even leave her number for them to call her back it told them ages to respond.
What upset us is that we've called up the Airlines for the cancellation of her flight and airlines mentioned that the tour agency already cancelled and airlines will refund the agency the amount 4 weeks. But Farmosa told us that it will take 3 to 6 months for them to refund her & have to charge her $150 (ticket cancellation), $75 (land cancellation)& on top of that a $50 (administration Fee).
She’d called up Farmosa for full refund of the air ticket since the air lines that she’d just called up mentioned that they’d refund the tour agency in full without any charges for 4 weeks to refund and yet Farmosa is charging her $150 for (ticket cancellation) for 3 to 6 months to refund. Isn’t it cheats. They’re out to cheat your money by deducting this amount from your tour fare. Not fair enough.
Yet, Farmosa manager stills wants her to get an e-mail from the airlines to prove that they’d refund her in full and at the same time Farmosa is charging her $50 (administration fee) for that.
Will not consider using this agency again. . Badddddddd.......
\\\"Once bitten will be twice shy\\\". And this will affect their reputation & their business.
cheated by Farmosa

I had booked a tour to Taiwan thru Farmosa during last year at NATA Fair.
I wanted to relate my experience to let you be aware of the dishonest or misleading practice, especially the manager by the name of William.
During the NATA fair, we went to all the various boots to check the price and itenary.
We noticed that Taiwan tourist board was also present to promote Taiwan 100 years anniversary.
Taiwan Tourist board mentioned they will refund US $100 for any individual family total age exceed 100 year olds when they visited Taiwan.
So when we finally decided to book thru Farmosa tour agency due to they were able to connect our trip to HK after Taiwan.
We asked to confirm was it true that we would have US $100 refunded to us.
William the manager confirmed that we would be refunded when we returned to Singapore and present our boarding pass to Farmosa.
He said this was to ensure that we actually went to taiwan.( in case of people getting a refund up front and later cancel )
Upon our return in late Nov, 2011, we went to Farmosa tour agency to claim our refund, we were told by William that the promotion was over. This William guy was very denfensive in his reply, he also asked to check if this was written in our invoice. If not can not hold him accountable. He asked me to go check with Taiwan Tourist board.
We felt cheated, if the promotion would be over when we return, he should tell us when we booked the tour, William knew when was our departured date.
I called up Taiwan Tourist board in Singapore, I was told the prmotion was no over, but it is between the Taiwan Tourist board and the tour agent. They TTB ) will not interferce how the tour agency handled the refund. The person I spoke to is miss Lin ( If I remember correctly )
So what is going on ? Anyone with >100 yrs in your group been to Taiwan in 2011 able to get back refund ?
I checked with a more reputable tour agency and was told that there was such promotion, and their practice is to deduct it directly from the total cost.
So I wanted to share this experience so that the public is aware and pls ask to have any promotion or promise written in black and white in the invoice.
I only found out today there are so many complain that prompted me wanting to share my experience.
I will NEVER engage the service of Farmosa Tour Agent nor any deal with this William if he move to other agency.
