Vietnam can be quite dangerous...The things are cheap if u go to market places..but at shopping malls, i suggest u dont buy them because they are more expensive than singapore, usually the imports and fakes...theres alot of cafe there, very nice ones, u can try them out, do not wear skirts in vietnam HCM(not sure about hanoi but i think its the same) because usually girls wear those for parties..alot of ppl will look due to culture, u can wear long skirts but if u take motor, its really hard to sit and dusty, i suggest u bring a jacket, due to the dust not the weather..the taxi fare is expensive, alittle lesser than singapore..bring USD as i suggested cos that is what they use over there..if u want to convert Dong..just divide by 5 digits..example 10000, is singapore's 1 dollar..roughly about there..dont carry a bag on ur back if ur taking motor, got ppl snatch, i suggest get a mask too, its very dusty..anything u wanna know more u can ask me

airport charge..its better to bring 12USD with u and pay in USD..seriously bring some USD, they use it there more..and check the returned money when they give u back, cos i got cheated, i gave 20USD and they gave me 2bucks back..which is like cheating my 8USD..i didnt ask them back because I thought its supposed to be bribery? I dont wanna get into more trouble,how stupid of me though..because I often go to indonesia and they asked me to a room and asked for money for coffee

Been to Ho Chi Minh once last yr. I only went there for 3d 2n. I will advice a longer trip because theres too many things and too little time. Went to their historic sites cu chi tunnel. had to climb in their little tunnel but it was pretty fun. The things are not VERY cheap but they sell nice bags and shoes. smiliar to those from "accessories". Cheaper than "accessories" la. on the road u can see people selling red tee shirt with a yellow star. Thats their national flag. alot of tourist buy them.

Night life there quite happening. the girls are all HOT and beautiful! i thought i will blend in easily if i wear a spag and a pair of jeans but no i was wrong. Everyone dressed up really nice!! I went to this club call volcano or something like tt. No dance floor. Very packed but very orderly. its all tables in a big club. Play trance if i dont remember wrongly.

Overall it was quite safe.. but traffic is quite terrible. Full of scooters. I love the experience of riding on their scooters without helmet. Cant experience tt in spore.

if u shop at the markets, u have to bargain because usually when u think its cheap, its actually much cheaper..i bought some tops for 3 bucks SGD..the clothes there arent really nice, quite out of fashion..
one more thing, u can rent motor there too..instead of taxi if u wanna save up, cos its quite expensive especially the traffic, more ppl ride motor
