There are several coaches going to Genting.

- Konsortium
- Grassland

The common departures are at Beach Road (near lavender MRT), lavender mrt, bukit panjang shopping centre and Boon Lay Shopping Centre.

The departure times are in the morning 7am and night 9.30 to 10pm.

Prices for the different type of coach bus available:-
- 27 pax coach bus (to & back from S$83/ pax)
- double decker coach bus (to & back from S$83/pax)
- 18 pax coach bus (to & back from S$120/pax)
- 16 pax coach bus (to & back from S$160/pax)

If you are going for comfort, 18pax & 16 pax coach bus. If you are going for budget, 27 pax coach bus.

If you choose the morning coach, you will arrive at Genting at abt 3pm the same day. If you choose the night coach, you will arrive at Genting next day at abt 4am.

The coaches now can drive all the way up to Genting hotels. No need to take gondola at half hill anymore. There\'s a bus terminal just below First World Hotel in Genting.

Along the way, the coach will stop at Yong Peng in Malaysia (rest stop), where you can have some snacks & meal. There\'s also some shops there selling books, local products & DVD/VCD. If you are taking the night coach, you will arrive at Yong Peng around midnight to 1am. If you are taking the morning coach, you will arrive at Yong Peng around 12 noon to 1pm.

The coach will also stop once for toilet break after Yong Ping (to genting & coming back from genting).

My suggestion to you is that if you are going Genting on weekday, you can buy one way coach ticket to Genting, then at Genting bus terminal buy the ticket back to Singapore. This way is cheaper. 18 pax bus coach from Genting to Singapore on weekday only cost RM50.

Just went genting last week. It was fun!!! but we had a bad experience with Konsortium . the coach sucks(malaysia 27 seater actually indicated 26 seater but it was too full ended up we din get couple seat n one guy have to take the assistant driver seat). They also don provide breakfast which was wierd as we went with gunang raya they do provide 1st world hotel buffet bfast. So if you guys are goin don go with Konsortium.

Stayed in 1stworld tower 2. Its newer than the tower 1 and more decent cos it was renovated recently. Cant complain cos its juz a budget stay and we nv stay long in the hotel except slp.

We had fun in both outdoor n indoor theme park..we went for 3D/2N therefore we bought the 2day all pass for both indoor & outdoor. It cost onli RM67 while the 1day all pass cost $42 le..had to pay extra only(RM10) for the new ride(flying coaster) where u "sit" the roller coaster in a "superman position". Thou it was fun, we din feel it was worth the extra money laugh.gif The most scary ride have to be the Space Shot but the one we like the most was the rolling thunder mine train. good.gif but onli 1 ride every 1/2 hr.

Din pay the extra to go for the haunted hse/snow world/ripley thou. There is this restaurant with the promo tat if u spend more than RM50 they will give u a complimentary pass for haunted hse or ripley, quite worth i think cos either one cost $18 bucks le.(food there oso damn ex min RM10 per meal excluding drinks). If u wan budget, there is a hotdog joint near the cable car station in the genting hotel where 1set meal cost ard RM10 with hotdog, fries and drink.

Have time then go for a free bowling game(if u staying in 1stworld) but remember before 5pm and the movies is cheap too RM10(not to mention also the popcorn onli RM4 for both popcorn n drinks)

Will book hotel from internet next time or AXS machine. then just get coach tix from agency. Its much cheaper tat way yeah.gif

It was fun to go with frens and the weather was nice too..Cool! will definately go again~

i like to watch movie n shop there. sometime can find nice top in genting. i would recommend u to stay in genting hotel if no budget constraint. there got a HK eatery there called "tung luo wan" at first world level 3 or 2b, the food there not bad(esp. fried wanton) though ex. All food there are ex!!! then there is a hot stone stall(the name of the stall is "on the rock") in first world food court. also at level 3 or 2b, the food also v nice.

then there got a Korea restaurant i tried the hot pot b4, not bad wor, but quite ex. 2 person eat ard RM100. Dun try the Jap restaurant though. hehe... all i know is abt food. hehee..

We started off taking 961 to beach rd konsortium to catch our direct bus to genting, later do we know we have to take a sg reg bus to the checkpt because of a jam at the causeway.

That place was so foggy the first day we went that we cannot see beyond 50 meters. It is a really nice chilling weather. I feel hot now at home. There is no need for air conditioning at the hotel room at all. I like that cool feeling, eventhough I felt cold the moment I set out of my jacket..
